The Forest Hood is a knit pattern for a combined hood and poncho, making it practical, warm, and comfortable. It is knitted from the top of the head downward.
It's has an i-cord edge at the face opening. Once the hood is closed, work decreases in the round at the neck to shape it. Immediately afterward, increases form delicate lines radiating towards the shoulders.
Finally, knit the poncho section in the round to cover as much of the upper body as desired for warmth.
The Forest Hood can be worn both as a classic balaclava and as a shoulder-warming hood that rests on the back during colder times.
