The Holly Hipsters are high-waisted, high-cut bikini bottoms with a clean, sculpted silhouette. The high waist gently hugs the body for a smooth, secure fit, while the high-cut leg opens up the silhouette and elongates the leg.

Knitted in stockinette stitch with fine, highly elastic Contrepoint® Air N.2, the fabric follows the body comfortably while retaining its shape, creating a smooth, light, second-skin feel.

Designed to be adjusted to your own measurements and preferred fit, the Holly Hipsters balance coverage and a high-cut silhouette in a timeless swimwear shape.

Gauge

The Holly Bikini is knitted on 2.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
The gauge is: 10 x 10 cm = 32 sts x 62 rows.

Waist measurements:
We estimated the yarn requirements based on the following waist measurements  -  the circumference just under the navel for high-waisted hipsters:

XS: 60-66 cm
S: 66-74 cm
M: 75-82 cm

XXL: 106-117 cm
XXXL: 118-132 cm

Construction of The Holly Bra

The Holly Hipsters are worked from the top down. From the cast-on edge, The Holly Hipsters are worked in the round through the waist and hip area. The back piece is then placed on hold while the front piece is worked back and forth, with  decreases at each side to create a triangular shape towards the lower front of The Holly Hipsters.

Finally, the back piece is worked separately, again back and forth in a triangular shape, until the front and back pieces meet between the legs. The front and back pieces are then sewn together using kitchener stitches.

The Holly Hipsters are knitted according to your own measurements. We therefore strongly recommend trying on the garment as you go to ensure the best possible fit.
