Construction of The Ondina Wrap Cardigan Junior

The Ondina Wrap Cardigan Junior is worked from the top down. 

Stitches are first cast on at the shoulder edge, from where the back is knitted downward in garter stitch. Stitches are then picked up for the left front, which is worked downward while shaping the waves across the front. The left front is placed on hold while the right front is worked.

Under the arm, the left front, back, and right front are joined, and the cardigan is worked back and forth across all sections. The stitch count increases following the wavy progression until the cardigan can wrap around the body. At this point, an opening is formed under the arm for the tie cords to pass through.

Decreases are then worked into the wavy shaping on both fronts, and finally the lower edge is bound off in a wavy shape and finished with an i-cord edge. The sleeves are worked in either the round or flat. To finish, i-cord ties are attached, and an optional contrasting crocheted edging can be added along the wavy edges of The Ondina Wrap Cardigan Junior.
