The Rowdy Set / Rowdyknit - English

The Rowdy Set is a simple and beautiful knitting set for children. The pattern includes instructions for both a top and bottom. The set can be used as shorts and a top in the warmer months or as luxurious cashmere underwear in the colder months.

The Rowdy Set is knitted based on the child's own measurements, so the pattern begins by specifying measurements and initial calculations.

Yarn
We recommend the following yarn: 

2 strands of nakedknit Cashmere 350, 350m/25g
25g (25g) 50g (50g) 75g 

or

Lang Yarns Cashmere Lace, 165m/25g
25g (25g) 50g (50g) 75g 

The shorts can of course be worked in other yarn than cashmere, as long as the yarn suits the meterage and gauge.

The Rowdy Shorts are worked in stockinette on 3 mm needles. The gauge is 27 stitches x 44 rows = 10 x 10cm.

Needles and

• 1 circular needle 3 mm, 40cm
• 1 circular needle. 2.5 mm, 40cm
• 1 elastic band - 1 cm in height and long enough to go around the child’s belly.  
• 1 safety pin
• Needle and thread to sew the elastic together with
• 5 DPNs 3 mm or circular needles 3 mm, if you choose to knit with Magic Loop
• 5 DPNs 2.5 mm or circular needles 2.5 mm if you choose to knit with Magic Loop
• 1 measuring band
  
• 1 stitch marker (or an extra safety pin)
• Scissors
• 1 long stitch holder wire
• 1 darning needle for weaving in yarn ends
