This bundle contains both the pattern for The Holly Bikini and The Holly Hipsters. 

The Holly Bikini is a timeless bikini shaped by the minimalism of 90s swimwear. The Holly Bikini is a two-piece knitted bikini designed by NakedKnit in Contrepoint® Air N.2.

Clean, minimal and made to move with the body, it pairs the softly shaped Holly Bra with the high-waisted, high-cut Holly Hipsters. The bra features a wide underbust band for added support and a secure fit, while the hipsters gently hug the waist and open into a high-cut leg that elongates the silhouette.

Both pieces are designed to be adjusted to your own measurements and preferred fit.

Knitted in stockinette stitch with fine, highly elastic Contrepoint® Air N.2, the fabric follows the body while retaining its shape, creating a smooth, light, second-skin feel with enough structure to feel secure.

Gauge

The Holly Bikini is knitted on 2.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
The gauge is: 10 x 10 cm = 32 sts x 62 rows.

Construction of The Holly Bikini

 The Holly Bra is worked from the top down. First, the left cup is knitted, followed by the right cup. The two cups are then joined, while the front continues to be shaped and slopes around towards the back. Stitches are then cast on for the underbust band, which is worked in continuation of the front piece. The band is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch until it reaches the desired height, and is then bound off using a two-row bind-off. Finally, the straps of The Holly Bra are worked in double knitting.

The Holly Bra is knitted according to your own measurements. We therefore strongly recommend trying on the garment as you go to ensure the best possible fit.

The Holly Hipsters are worked from the top down. From the cast-on edge, The Holly Hipsters are worked in the round through the waist and hip area. The back piece is then placed on hold while the front piece is worked back and forth, with  decreases at each side to create a triangular shape towards the lower front of The Holly Hipsters.

Finally, the back piece is worked separately, again back and forth in a triangular shape, until the front and back pieces meet between the legs. The front and back pieces are then sewn together using garter stitches.
